🚮 Earlier this week, we carried out a huge litter pick along the railway tunnel going from Prescott Street to York Street.
🌳 This followed on from Streetscene doing a fantastic job of cutting back a lot of overgrown vegetation as part of the recent “Our Town” Week in Douglas Ward.
1️⃣4️⃣ Despite us collecting FOURTEEN big bags of waste, there is still more litter in the area, so we will return during the week to pick up the rest.
💚 We have also requested that the remaining shrubbery is removed, a tree blocking a street light is cut back, and have asked if a waste bin can be installed in this location to prevent litter.
