Supporting the RMT's Campaign Against Outsourcing and Low Pay

Out on the picket line at Wigan Wallgate this morning, supporting the RMT’s campaign against outsourcing and low-pay for local rail workers.

Train operator Northern is outsourcing staff to sub-contractors, meaning they are on lower pay than directly-employed staff, on zero hours contracts and with no trade union recognition.

It’s simple: staff doing the same job deserve the same pay, same terms and conditions and same union rights. Low pay - no way!
