Funding Secured for More Than Words and Bom Ta Bom Drum & Sound Therapy

This week, we were delighted to catch up with the lovely staff and students at More Than Words!

We presented £1,000 of Brighter Borough Funding (allocated by Wigan Council) to More Than Words, as well as Bom Ta Bom Drum & Sound Therapy. This funding will help both groups to continue with their series of activities and workshops.

More Than Words uses drama, music, dance, singing and creative activities to help people to develop their confidence, express themselves, be more independent and achieve their aspirations.

Bom Ta Bom provides drumming and music therapy workshops for young people and adults with disabilities. It’s based on the idea that all individuals have the ability to respond to music and sound and that this can lead to positive changes in behaviour and improved social and communication skills, especially in people with autism.
